Confirmation Preparation 2024-25
In the Sacrament of Confirmation the Holy Spirit is given to us for strengthening. It makes us better able to bear witness to the love of God and the new life in Christ to which he calls all men and women.
The preparation course for 2024/25 has now begun and is fully subscribed.
It is expected that those preparing for confirmation will be at Mass regularly. This will work best if they are able to come with their parents, who are important examples in their lives.
This year we are planning to work closely with the other Catholic parishes south of Guildford. Confirmation preparation will take place at St Thomas More, Bramley on Sunday afternoons, usually 3pm - 5pm (unless otherwise specified).
24 November 2024 6-8pm “pizza and prayer”, including meeting for parents and candidates at 7.30pm.

12 January 2025 3-5pm
9 February 2025 3-5pm
2 March 2025 3-5pm
13 April 2025 3-5pm
18 May 2025 3-5pm (tbc)
8 June 2025 3-5pm (tbc)
Preparation will also include an opportunity to come to Flame 2025, the big National Catholic Youth event at Wembley Arena on 15th March 2025 and a meeting with Bishop Richard for Lectio Divina at St Joseph’s, Guildford on 1st February (Please book for Lectio Divina using this link.)
The programme will also include a “penance and pizza” or similar session (date and location to be advised).
